FAQs about YogaDance

What should I wear?

Comfortable, lightweight clothes and bare feet are recommended. If you have foot injuries, you may want to wear sneakers for extra support. You may wish to bring a warmer layer to put on during cool-down and relaxation, when the body's temperature drops precipitously.

Do I need experience in dancing and/or yoga?

No dance or yoga experience is necessary. Instructions are easy to follow and even easier to cast aside as you wish.

What should I bring?

A bottle of water and a small towel.

Do I need to be "in shape"?

YogaDance allows each person to work at his/her own pace. Unlike most dance classes, where the focus is on attaining a specific look, YogaDance encourages you to focus on how you feel. One day you may feel like taking it easy, another you may want to dance yourself into a frenzy. These classes teach you to pay attention to and respect what your body is telling you it wants and needs.

Is it a cardiovascular workout? Can I lose weight?

Yes. YogaDance is a wonderful aerobic workout. You may find that you are having so much fun that you can do more than you think and not feel that you're exerting a lot of effort. Time flies when you are in a YogaDance class. At the end of it you will feel exhilarated and rejuvenated. YogaDance is an excellent addition to a weight-loss plan.

What are some of the benefits?

There are unlimited benefits to YogaDance, from exuberant health and improved self-image to increased energy and lasting joy! With regular practice you will feel more fully alive, more yourself.
